Bought used, factory reset OMEN 25L (4Z6T6EA) pc with i7-11700, 3070ti and oasis 886B motherboard. My fps games stutter and does not run buttery smooth as they did with my old garbage pc. My bios is f.10 from 2021 and i dont see any website offering me newer bios update with my OS Windows 11 24H2 for my 886b motherboard. Is there newer available anywhere? The cpu has thermal throttling.

Hi @Leke123
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
You're absolutely right to be frustrated—your OMEN 25L with an i7-11700 and RTX 3070 Ti should be crushing FPS games, not stuttering like a potato in a blender.
Let’s get your system tuned up and running like it was born to dominate. 🖥️🔥
🧠 BIOS Update for Oasis 886B Motherboard
Unfortunately, HP hasn’t published a newer BIOS for the Oasis 886B motherboard beyond F.10 (2021) for your OMEN 25L (4Z6T6EA) that’s officially compatible with Windows 11 24H2. However:
- You can try updating via USB using HP’s BIOS recovery method:
- Follow HP’s BIOS update guide and create a USB recovery key using a Windows 10 machine if needed.
- This method bypasses OS restrictions and has worked for other OMEN users on Windows 11.
If HP hasn’t released a newer BIOS for your board, it’s likely they’re holding back due to validation delays for 24H2. You can keep an eye on HP’s OMEN support page for future updates.
🧰 CPU Driver (Intel i7-11700)
Your CPU is fully supported by Windows 11 24H2, but you’ll want the latest Intel chipset and MEI drivers:
- Download from HP’s OMEN 25L GT12-0000i driver page.
- Or get the latest directly from Intel:
🎮 GPU Driver (NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti)
For buttery-smooth gameplay, grab the latest Game Ready Driver from NVIDIA:
- NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti Driver for Windows 11 24H2
- Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to clean out old drivers before installing fresh ones:
⚠️ Note: Some users have reported driver conflicts with 24H2 and RTX 30-series GPUs. If you experience issues, install the Microsoft-recommended driver from the Windows Update Catalog.
🛠️ Final Optimization Tips
- Update Windows fully via Settings > Windows Update.
- Install HP Support Assistant to catch any missing firmware or drivers.
- Use OMEN Gaming Hub to monitor thermals and disable GPU Boost if needed.
- Consider upgrading to a 650W+ PSU if you’re still using the stock 500W—RTX 3070 Ti needs breathing room.
Let me know how it goes—whether your rig finally hits those silky frames or still stutters. We’ll keep pushing until it’s flawless. 💪🎯

Hey, so i've updated all the drivers and checked power manage options and nvidia 3d settings but none of them worked. Downloaded afterburner and my cpu throttles alot. On desktop is 77-80c and ingame 80-95 or more. Bought new thermal paste and will apply it today to see if it works. Actually my OS is windows 11 home 64-bit 24H2 so is there any newer BIOS than F.10 from 2021? I cant believe if no since i've sawn many same motherboard and specs omens than mine with newer bios.

This has the exact same specs than my pc if some information is needed.

I found this bios for my motherboard but can i download it since there's no "windows 11 home 24h2" os version, instead:
- Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Microsoft Windows 10 Version 20H2 (64-bit)
- Microsoft Windows 11
- Microsoft Windows 11 version 21H2 (64-bit)
So if its good for my pc, can i still use it with my windows 11 home?

New thermal paste didnt work, still 83+C cpu temperature on desktop. I try to undervolt my cpu today since its running at 1.4V (By default?). If that doesn't work, then it must be the BIOS what i need. Any professional thoughts on this cpu thermal problems? I can't change my cpu fan speed on bios.

@Leke123, Thank you for your response.
@Hawks_Eye is unavailable at the moment, I will be happy to assist you.
And, thanks for the detailed update, really appreciate you sticking with the troubleshooting so far.
You're absolutely right to expect better performance from your OMEN 25L with an i7-11700 and RTX 3070 Ti. Let's tackle the thermal and BIOS concerns step by step:
BIOS Update Confirmation
Yes, there is a newer BIOS version available for your Oasis 886B motherboard than the F.10 from 2021.
- The latest version is BIOS F.29, and it's available on HP’s official support page for your model.
- Even though the listed supported OS versions include Windows 10 and Windows 11 21H2, you can safely install it on Windows 11 Home 24H2. BIOS updates are not restricted by OS editions as long as the hardware matches.

CPU Thermal Throttling – What’s Happening
Your CPU running at 1.4V and 80–95°C is a clear sign of thermal throttling. Here’s what might be going on:
- High idle temps (77–80°C) suggest poor cooler contact or airflow.
- Since you’ve already applied new thermal paste, please double-check:
- Is the cooler mounted evenly and tightly?
- Are the fans spinning at full speed?
- Fan control is often locked in HP BIOS, but you can try adjusting fan curves using:
- OMEN Gaming Hub
- Third-party tools like FanControl or Argus Monitor
Undervolting Tips
- The default voltage of 1.4V is quite high for the i7-11700.
- If your BIOS doesn’t allow undervolting, try using:
- Intel XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility)
- Throttlestop (advanced users only)
These tools can help reduce voltage and temperatures without sacrificing performance.
Next Steps
- Update your BIOS to F.29 using the link above.
- Use OMEN Gaming Hub to monitor temps and adjust fan settings.
- Try undervolting with Intel XTU or Throttlestop.
- Ensure your case has good airflow, check intake and exhaust fans.
- If issues persist, consider upgrading to a better aftermarket CPU cooler.
I hope this helps!

Hey, how are you sure that the F.29 bios you linked goes to my pc? The model of the pc where you found the F.29 bios is different in hp download website than mine. Mine is GT11-1878no and the bios you found is under GT12-0000i model pc.
