OMEN 30L will not wake from sleep and power button will not shutdown the pc. Omen diamond flashing other lights shut-down; appears to be in sleep mode. Frequently in this state it will not wake. Peripherals light up, keyboard and mouse light up, and everything appears like it is going to wake, but doesn't. Power options set to 10 min display, 10 min sleep, 10 minutes hard drive (was just at 15, reduced to 10.) Power button is set to shut-down system, but this does not work when using the power button in this state, must unplug the power supply to get the PC working again. I am 100% updated as of 2/20/23, both through windows and HP, no driver updates available. Not an issue with the displays normally wake properly. Had an issue with a monitor not auto waking, but resolved by going from HDMI to DVI on the monitor with display port adapter at the pc. PC is only a couple months old from Best Buy.

Hi
Are you in warranty, you should be if the PC is a couple of months old. Contact HP Support https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact/help/desktop for assistance.
Have seen this issue before. You could have a power supply or MB problem.
Some general, non-destructive, trouble shooting steps are:
HP Diagnostics. Start the PC, tap "ESC".
Select "F2". Run system and component tests.
Run a check disk. Open an admin command prompt. Run the following command.
sfc /scannow
I could see a possible problem using a HDMI to DVI adapter. You can't eliminate any possibility.
If none of the above tests help, I suggest backing up data or create a system disk image before trying the following troubleshooting steps.
You may have to use HP Cloud Recovery https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4511095-4511141-16 to isolate a hardware problem. Or do a clean Windows installation https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11/ .
Same symptoms on a HP factory install or a clean W11 install suggests a hardware problem.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will try the steps mentioned. I do want to note that the issue seems to have started around the time HP Inc. - Firmware - 15.13.0.0 was installed. I cannot definitively state that the issue occurred immediately following the update, but it seems to coincide.
My thought would be that the PC would be under warranty, but when I checked it under what I believe was the HP Support Assistant it came back out of warranty. I will look further into this; I saw the dispute warranty section.
Thanks.

Hi
My pleasure.
There is a chance the HP Firmware update, if offered by Windows Update, has caused this problem.
I would avoid future HP Firmware updates offered by Microsoft.
You can stop this from recurring as follows:
Enter Advanced System Settings in Search. Select the search result. Select the Hardware Tab. Select Device installation settings.
Select No. Save changes.
