Depending on the Windows that was being used.

Check this link. If Windows 11 was installed, then the HP Cloud Recovery tool is supported.. click on the link above and pick Windows 11 as the OS, then look for the Recovery tool info. If Windows 10 was installed, then look here for the Media Creation tool. There is a way to repair the Windows 10 install without wiping out the previous install. From this guide
https://www.tomshardware.com/software/windows/how-to-fix-windows-10-with-a-repair-install
Scroll down to the " Creating a Windows Install ISO " to follow the guide. Here is the download from Microsoft, to make the media - also mentioned in the guide.
If you need the install media for Windows 10, you can make it from this Microsoft download
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
With a working PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media"
and then follow the directions. You can make either the DVD or USB. Use this new media to install Windows 10.
When the install asks for the product key, click the "I don't have a product key" option to continue,
then the install will continue. It will be activated once it connects to the internet, as it uses a digital key.
