OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P6AV)

My Omen Pc keeps crashing whenever I'm playing games — and it is often when I'm playing at medium-high settings.

I'm not a computer expert.

First I get this:

"ACPI thermal zone \_TZ.HPTZ has been enumerated.
_PSV = 0K
_TC1 = 0
_TC2 = 0
_TSP = 0ms
_AC0 = 0K
_AC1 = 0K
_AC2 = 0K
_AC3 = 0K
_AC4 = 0K
_AC5 = 0K
_AC6 = 0K
_AC7 = 0K
_AC8 = 0K
_AC9 = 0K
_CRT = 378K
_HOT = 376K
minimum throttle = 0
_CR3 = 0K"

Then this:

"ACPI thermal zone \_TZ.TZ01 has been enumerated.
_PSV = 0K
_TC1 = 1
_TC2 = 2
_TSP = 2000ms
_AC0 = 0K
_AC1 = 0K
_AC2 = 0K
_AC3 = 0K
_AC4 = 0K
_AC5 = 0K
_AC6 = 0K
_AC7 = 0K
_AC8 = 0K
_AC9 = 0K
_CRT = 388K
_HOT = 0K
minimum throttle = 0
_CR3 = 0K"

And at last this fail (which I think is the reason my computer crashes and restarts - without me doing anything):

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

The source is "Kernel-Power"

Please help.

Hi @kornelius_nb,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing some frustrating issues with your gaming PC. The error message you provided suggests that your system is experiencing unexpected shutdowns, which could be caused by various factors.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.

  • Check for Overheating: Overheating is a common cause of sudden shutdowns, especially during gaming sessions. Make sure your PC's fans are working properly and that there's no dust buildup inside the case. You can use monitoring software to check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU while gaming.
  • Update Drivers: Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause stability issues. Make sure your graphics card drivers, motherboard drivers, and any other relevant drivers are up to date. You can usually find the latest drivers on the manufacturer's website.
  • Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes, certain software running in the background can conflict with your games and cause crashes. Try closing any unnecessary programs before launching a game and see if that improves stability.
  • Power Supply Issues: Insufficient power from the power supply unit (PSU) can cause system instability, especially when gaming at higher settings that demand more power. Ensure that your PSU is adequate for your system's components and that all connections are secure.
  • Hardware Issues: Faulty hardware components, such as RAM or the graphics card, can also cause crashes. You can use diagnostic tools to test your hardware for any issues.
  • Check Event Viewer: The Event Viewer in Windows can provide more detailed information about the cause of the crashes. Look for any critical errors or warnings around the time of the shutdowns, which might give you clues about what's going wrong.
  • Reset Windows: If all else fails, you can try resetting Windows to its default settings. This will reinstall the operating system while keeping your personal files intact. Make sure to back up any important data before doing this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
