Thanks Dave,

 

I had already slaved a fan into the plug and it was quiet as a mouse so knew I had found the problem... then ordered the 80mm version of the exact same fan (as i am so done with this..lol)

 

Anyway, the smaller 80mm one arrived last night and i have just installed it and everything is ok..
