No recent changes. Tried to turn on today with no luck. Tried holding down the volume down key (f7) and pressing the power key but no response.

@Wood17, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue where your HP OmniBook Ultra won’t turn on, please try these steps,

Perform a Hard Reset

This helps clear any residual electrical charge that might be preventing the laptop from powering on.

  1. Turn off the laptop (if it’s on).
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove any external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the AC adapter (use the original one that came with the laptop).
  5. Try turning on the laptop again.

HP PCs - Computer does not turn on, start, or boot

Check Power Source and Adapter

  • Ensure the power outlet is working by testing it with another device.
  • Inspect the power adapter and cable for any visible damage.
  • If available, try using a different compatible HP charger.

Look for Signs of Power

  • Do any lights (keyboard backlight, power LED) turn on when you press the power button?
  • If not, the issue might be with the battery, motherboard, or power circuit.

Try a BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

If the laptop shows signs of power but doesn’t boot:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold Windows + B keys, then press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
  3. Release the Power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 5 seconds.
  4. If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
