Is the PA716A serial card compatible with Win 10 & Pavilion 500-336?

Please see http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/oas/product-detail.html?oid=436800, which indicates "The HP 2nd Serial Port Adapter- PA716A is compatible with HP Compaq dc5700 and dc5750 microtowers and small form factor desktops and dx7300, dc7700 and dc7800 small form factor desktops and convertible minitowers."

 

SO, the short answer is NO.

Frank, thanks for your help and quick reply. I want to add a second serial port to this computer but can't find one that is compatible with Windows 10.

You have refered to "wanting to add a second serial port to your computer." As far as I can tell, there isn't an RS232 "DB-9" serial port on this computer to begin with. Your best bet for adding an RS232 "DB-9" type serial port or two is going to be an add-on PCIe card. Please see http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100160874 8000 600022027&IsNodeId=1&Desc... for a number of cards that should meet your needs.

It apears that Rosewill are the only ones that show Windows 10 compatibility. They will be fine. Thanks.
