Hello,

The other evening I went to shut down my PC as I normally do but noticed the screen was black & the rest of the PC remained running. I shut it down w/the power button, powered it back up. During this the screen is trying to display for a few moments a few times but then stays black & the rest of the PC stays on & runs. I can tell the screen showed "Active" @ start-up & the blue & yellow power lights for the monitor (HP2210m) work as they should. It doesn't want to boot ?  The monitor seems ok along w/it's cord.

Here is what I have tried:

1) Checked & looked for loose connections.

2) Install new CMOS battery.

3) Removed memory cards, cleaned contacts then reseated them.

I haven't tried doing the jumper procedure on the pc board as I've never done it before.

As I mentioned it does try to display during power up.

Am I going in the right direction on this ?

Anyway, can someone PLEASE help ?

Thank you all !!
