Around a week and a half ago when I powered on my PC (I should note that I bought my PC refurbished about a month ago) the SMART system warned me of an "imminent Hard Drive failure" with "Failing Attribute #07". This was the first time I had a major problem with the PC.
I left the PC powered off for a few days while I contacted the shop I bought it from and the company for the third party warranty I got on the machine. Later when I powered on the PC to run some diagnostic tests I no longer received the SMART system warning the I had an "imminent Hard Drive" Failure, however the PC fails the Long DST whenever I run it. My last Long DST (yesterday) had error code: 305 and Failure ID: Q0FBSF-000A75-QDUV7A-61F113
What do I need to do? Do I need to replace my Hard Drive? I've been e-mailing back and forth with the shop I bought from and they seem to think it's an issue with the BIOS, but I'm skeptical. I should also note that the PC is out of HP warranty I've tried contacting them upon Long DST failure but after putting in the serial # I'm told the warranty is expired.
