PLEASE HELP me  :

I got msg on the screen that "Less than 10 % of the hard disk space is free - I have of course used the 128 GB SSD drive all along -

- then I discovered my desk top also came with a 1TB hard drive -

Do I safely transfer all my files - data over to the free 1 TB to start using it?????? 

If so  will everything - programs and soft-wear follow - 

with other word -

is this safe and will my computer still work as normal?????

Unfortunately, you can not "transfer" existing programs from one drive to another -- that simply will not work.

 

You have to reinstall each one you want to move -- and as @Prométhée already told you, not every program is going to allow you to install it to another drive.  Every program uses the Registry and that must be on the "C" drive.  The programs that allow installation on other than "C" are usually gaming programs that need very large data files and let you store them off "C" in order to prevent filling that up.


What you also need to do is go into your settings and Browsers and change all the default saving locations to the large drive.  That will ensure that future downloads do not fill up the"C" drive.

 

Here are some things you can do to recover some of the disk space:

Your ssd is very small, it may not be enough
You can move some programs, but your best bet is to redo the install and change the install location!
It's not always possible
