I was using my computer last night before bed and I woke up to use it and it says it has power but when I turn it on it doesn’t light up. I’ve unplugged it plugged it back in held the power button down for how many seconds it called for nothing is powering on.

Hi @Dessy98

Welcome to the HP Forum.

It would be good to know your PC's specific Product Number.

It can be very helpful to know exactly what the PC does when you depress the power button.

I am not sure what you mean when you state the PC "says it has power" but you have no LED activity.

A completely dead PC, but you know it's getting AC power, could be a problem with: the power cable, the power cable connection to the PC or the wall outlet, the power supply, a component or peripheral connected to the MB, or the MB itself.

Sorry, I can't be more helpful at this point in time.

Finding the bad component, if the PC is unresponsive, is a lengthy troubleshooting process which may require replacement components.

I usually recommend HP warranty service if your PC is in warranty. Or have a local PC Tech take a look.

Regards
