I've posted this question 3 other times and have tried everything suggested to me so far except setting the BIOS to default settings, because I keep reading about other people who have tried this and then afterward their computer wouldn't operate correctly and was worse than what they had posted about. I guess my question here is, I have Avast antivirus and when I was trying to change the settings on when it turns on, I started noticing that it does an Emergency Update every evening, and I can't put a "delay on boot" setting on it because my computer doesn't fall in the "correct parameter." So, could Avast possibly be turning my computer on at night? It's the only thing I've noticed in Task Scheduler that keeps popping up. I've yet to find any apps or services on my computer that have "wake up computer" enabled. The only thing I've changed since reinstalling Windows 7 Pro, in the BIOS, is the Wake on LAN, which I've disabled. Just trying to find some other options to try, if available, that I have the confidence to try and less likely to make matters worse. Thank You!!!

Yes, I uninstalled Avast and the computer is turned off each night. "Shut down" not sleep or hibernate. I've been messing with this for weeks and have got to the point of where I'm just going to unplug the power cord from the back of the computer each night before I go to bed. I appreciate your comments though and thank you!!!

Other than a BIOS setting, NOT in the slightest.
Avast install some small piece of code to do "Emergency" things, but where it is located, and why it should be necessary is beyond me.
If you had a Dell where the time and day were set to automatically turn on then I could understand that, but you dont.

Thank You Very Much for all your responses and suggestions. I've not been able to figure this out with anyone's help and think I will just unplug my PC at night before I go to bed. I agree with you on this is probably a BIOS issue. I'm just not comfortable or confident enough to start messing with it. I've read way to many articles of where people started doing this and then they pretty much couldn't use their computer anymore or had more issues than what they started with. I was awake last night and finally seen my computer come on. It was exactly 12"00am-midnight. I quickly got on the PC and did a CMD prompt on "last wake up" and did this with Administrator privileges. It came back (0) once again. I went to Task Scheduler and Event Viewer and there was nothing there as well. I'm not as worried about this issue now that I know when the computer comes on, my CPU fan isn't going a 100mph, no "beeping" or "Error messages." Thanks Again Professor! Have a Blessed and Quality Day!!!
