After a bios update suggested by HP Assistant the pc doesn'restart anymore. Infact instead of restarting at the end of the update process it shutted down and it doesn't respond to any command. The green led on the back is active so I suppose it's powered but it looks dead! Any idea how I can solve this mess? I know that updating bios is always a bit risky but i trusted HP assistant which has all the specifics of my model in giving me a secure update, I an so angry right now!

I don't  blame you for being angry -- that happened to me, so I disabled and remove HP Support Assistant after that.

Hopefully, this process will allow you to restore a working BIOS version:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04126730

Good Luck

Thank you, that article has been very helpful!

I will not remove HP Assistant for now tho, but I'll keep a closer eye on it and I will be more selective on what it suggests me to do.
