You're very welcome.

Now that the ID you posted confirms that we are trying to use the right driver...

...You and I are going to try and outsmart the PC.

As I had first replied, I do not believe that there is a W10 driver for that device.

The last message you received about the operating system not being supported confirms that.

So, here's what we're going to do....

I have removed all of the OS checks and other unnecessary 'you know what' out of the sp64162 driver file.

I have zipped it up and attached it below.

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Now try manually updating the driver the using the same method but browse to the location of the driver folder you just unzipped instead.

...You and I are going to try and outsmart the PC.  LOL!!  Me?? I'll make sure I tell my wife you said that. She'll laugh.

Success, I think. The file you sent successfully installed. What I was looking for to confirm was that the driver for the PCI Simple Communication Controller was installed. Yet looking it the Device Manager I can no longer find the PCI Simple Communications Controller. Did it move? It was sort of highlighted before. I've looked all over.

Yes, you can tell your wife you outsmarted the PC good and proper.

The Intel Management Engine Interface device can be found in the device manager under the System Devices category.

Thanks Paul. Amazing, to say the least. I may not have fixed my original problem which may be an unstable 3rd party application. But the feedback from their tech team was this driver was missing. The app loaded today and has intermittently. Hopefully the addition of this driver will make is solid.

Thanks again and have a good day!!  Brent

Anytime, Brent.

Glad to have been of assistance.

You have a great day too!

Cheers,
