Hello,
I am looking for a driver for the PCI Simple Communications Controller for the Comet Lake Processor. It is for the 13Z86AA model (https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c06723599). I have already used HP Support Assistant to update the drivers but the error still persists.
Thank you in advance.

Hi:
Usually that device is the Intel Management Engine Interface device that needs the driver.
If the above driver doesn't work, please post the hardware ID for the PCI Simple Communications Controller, so I can figure out what driver it needs.
Use this guide to find that information...
How to Find Drivers for Unknown Devices in the Device Manager (howtogeek.com)

Hi:
The driver file I posted above should have installed that device.
Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted.

So if that driver didn't install the device, the only suggestion I can offer would be to see if manually installing the driver works.
I have zipped up and attached just the portion of the whole driver file that you need below.
Download and unzip the file to its folder.
Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager, click on the PCI Simple Communications Controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for drivers option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
