My Hp intel 13 has been in storage for a year. It booted up well - asked for a pin (that I use on everything) but does not recognize the pin.

@Cheryl1104, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If you are unable to sign in to your HP Intel 13 laptop using your PIN, you can reset it by following these steps:

Reset via Microsoft Account:

  • Go to the Microsoft Recover your account page.
  • Follow the on-screen directions to reset your password or PIN using a different device. This should help you regain access to your Microsoft account.

Using the Lock Screen:

  • On the sign-in screen, click on "I forgot my PIN".
  • This will guide you through the steps to reset your PIN.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
