I have a massive paper jam, and the Officejet J5740 manual directs me to open the back door. It says there is a tab on the left hand side, which I can't see, and I have no idea how to open the door. Help, please!

@KSH46, It's great to hear from you again.
I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned you managed to clear the paper jam on your printer. I'm glad to know that your issue got resolved.
But you need to know how to open the back of the printer.
I have checked the records and HP does not have any service manuals for the printer.
If the printer goes faulty and if you contact HP. We will not service the printer we will give you a replacement printer.
However, you can watch this video from HP support to clear paper jams on your printer.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Take Care! 🙂

I'm not quite sure how you see this as an answer to my actual question. But never mind, I managed to clear the jam anyway.
As a matter of interest, how do you open the back of the machine? There is - as I have already said - no tab as described in the manual.
