Hi @scranderx

Welcome to the HP Forum.

It appears your PC qualifies to use the HP Cloud Recovery option.

Follow instructions at the above HP Site to create a HP Cloud Recovery USB stick on a different PC. Set the 460-p214 BIOS back to factory settings (reset the BIOS to defaults).

You will need a minimum 32 GB USB drive.

You should back up data before doing a HP Cloud Recovery. Data will be lost if you don't do this.

I already did that but the system does not accept the Product ID

I am using my product number 4NM72AA (full number 4NM72AA#ABA)

Hi @scranderx

The HP W10 Driver download Site for your PC clearly shows the HP Cloud Recovery option. So I don't know why this does not work when using the correct product ID.

You may have to do a clean W10 install available at this Microsoft Site.

Download and run the Media Creation Tool on a different PC to create USB installation media for other PCs.

Set the BIOS to defaults. Back up data or it will be very hard, if not impossible, to recover.

Boot to this USB stick on the 460. Select "I don't have a product key" during the installation process. Do a custom installation.

Windows should activate when the W10 install is complete and you are connected to the network. The W10 product key is stored in your PC's BIOS.

Let me know if this helps.

Regards
