Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Hello - I'm trying to repurpose this old PC, Pavilion a1330n, model EL466AA, to do some testing and need to enable virtualization in the BIOS. The current BIOS (version 3.13, Phoenix Awards) doesn't have a virtualization option even though the CPU (AMD Athlon 3800+) says it's capable. 

I cannot find any info on HP site on this, probably because it's soooo old. I'm hoping for some help locating the update BIOS file and if this MB is able to allow virtualization.

Hi:

 

HP retired support for that model since it is more than 10 years old.

 

This reputable 3rd party website has the last BIOS update HP released for your PC.

HP Pavilion a1330n BIOS (driverscollection.com)

 

Note that just because the processor supports VT, the BIOS may not include that setting.
