Microsoft Windows 11

Hi folks. After Sunday's Windows update, my Pavilion has become unusable. After sign in, the screen is black, and cycles on and off about once a second. There is no task bar. After looking through forums, it appears that maybe the update filled up the hard drive, which was quite full prior to the update, and now something is corrupted. I can get to the task manager through ctl-alt-del which comes up and doesn't cycle like the rest of the screen. The same problem occurs in safe mode.

The real problem is that I've tried recover and reset but neither works because of insufficient space on the hard drive. I have a second drive which has lots of space but windows does not utilize this for reset or recovery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. At this point, I may have to try and reinstall from a usb, but I'm not even sure that that will work with a full disk (never tried it before). Thanks for reading!
