Hi @IronDark14

Welcome back.

The HP Download site for your PC lists zero: driver or BIOS updates. Which is very unusual.

Your PC has the Baker MB. I could not find any BIOS updates for this MB which has the MB SSID 8767.

So this makes it very difficult to attempt a USB BIOS recovery when there are no current BIOS updates available.

I would guess the HPSA BIOS update has corrupted your BIOS since you have power over USB.

It looks like you would need HP Factory Service to flash the BIOS or replace the MB. Or look for a replacement MB on eBay.

I would avoid future HP BIOS updates if you replace the MB.

Maybe a different Forum member can find a current BIOS update which might fix the BIOS.

Regards

Here's a document from HP about troubleshooting your PC when it starts with a black screen:

So basically my motherboard got fried because the hp support assistant doesn't do his job? You can not even download bios update without the compatibility of the mb

Hi @IronDark14

I can't say for sure what has happened.

Try @WAWood 's link. Or try all troubleshooting steps at this Link to see if you can recover the BIOS without replacing the MB.

Creating the HP USB BIOS recovery flash drive on a different PC works if you can get a recent HP BIOS update which supports this option.

Check this HP video for a demonstration.

I can't find a recent (or any) BIOS update(s) for your MB.

I will try, but the problem is that I can't see anything because there is no signal to the monitor. By the way the bios update was the F.49 Rev.A which was released the 13th/11/2023, i downloaded it only now because i prefer to wait before updating the bios.

Hi @IronDark14

A local PC Tech could probably fix the BIOS if you could find a HP BIOS update for your PC's MB.

The Tech would have to do an offline data backup. Then do a clean Windows install after flashing your MB's BIOS but prior to running the current W11 installation.

Otherwise the bad BIOS update will reinstall again. The bad BIOS update .bin and .sig files are stored in the existing Window's system partition.

Hi @IronDark14

I may have found an older BIOS update for your MB.

A local PC Tech could try this File to fix the MB.

Hi @IronDark14

My pleasure.

Cool, you have a CH341A SPI programmer/flasher.

Let the Forum know how it goes.
