Perform updates on T5630W thin clients

Hello all,

I am trying to do   install the following Security patch from Microsoft on a T5630W thin client using HPDM.

On newer thin clients I can Shadow, do Windows updates, agent updates, etc but on these older clients like this , every attempt failed.

Heres a log for shadowing.

This device is at a remote location and I can do simple tasks such as reboots but nothing else.

Any advice on how to troubleshoot these issues would be really appreciated.

Hello All,

I managed to find the answer with the assistance for one of HP pre-sales engineers.

It appears the older thin clients with older HPDM agents must use FTP, they are not able to use SMB shares and on the HPDM setup FTP access has not been configured.

Once the FTP setup is on place managed to get the required updates done without any issues.

Hopefully, this will be helpful for someone who has the same issues.
