I recently performed a system reset and there were programs that were removed, I am wondering how I can get these programs back. Now certain things do not run on my PC: opening HP Support Assistant-will not open; searching for programs-does not return anything.

These are the HP programs that were removed: Energy Star - Hewlett-Packard Company - 1.0.9;

HP Connected Music (Meridian - installer) - Meridian Audio Ltd - 1.0;

HP Connected Music (Meridian - player) - Meridian Audio Ltd - 1.1 (build 112) hp;

HP Documentation - Hewlett-Packard - 1.1.0.0;

HP Launch Box - Hewlett-Packard Company - 1.1.5;

HP My Display TouchSmart Edition - Portrait Displays, Inc. - 2.06.56.0;

HP Photo Creations - HP - 1.0.0.20502;

HP Registration Service - Hewlett-Packard - 1.2.7127.4628;

HP SimplePass - Hewlett-Packard - 8.00.54;

HP Support Assistant - Hewlett-Packard Company - 8.2.8.25;

HP Support Solutions Framework - Hewlett-Packard Company - 12.4.18.7;

HP Update - Hewlett-Packard - 5.003.003.001.

I downloaded the support assistant but it will not open as I satated before. I am thinking these programs are needed?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

What you will need to consider now is doing the Factory Reset using HP Recovery Media -- as that will reinstall everything that came preinstalled.

It is available from this link:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07143

Good Luck
