When I turn on my computer and open Firefox for the first time a window appears on my homepage which states "An update for Microsoft Office Starter 2010 - English is now available online.  Please remain connected to the internet for the duration of the update. Do you wish to start downloading the update now?"  OK   or  Cancel

How do I stop this annoying and persistanent message from appearing ?  And does anyone know if these are legitimate updates from Microsoft?

Thank You!

I wasn't sure if I should download it or not since I didn't know if it was legitimate. My computer was recently infected with a virus and I didn't want to risk that happening again. Thanks for your help!

(Oh, I do know how to spell persistent.)         :Glasses:

You are very welcome, @Muffers !  Glad to help.

When I don't know how to spell a word I simply do a search for it.  Which I do often.
