Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-2000i (8R3R1AV)

Hello everyone,

I have run into an issue with the HP Victus where my camera files will not appear in the system when I plug in my camera's USB cable into the USB ports.

There is a noise that the USB cable has been "connected" but nothing in the system software shows that I can access it. Also, my camera does not approve its access.

I do not have issues when I plug the USB cable into my Macbook air so this isn't a camera issue. I believe it has something to do with HP not detecting the USB.

How do I fix this so I can access external files?

Thanks.

A quick fix is to remove the memory card from the camera and use an adapter (if needed) to read the contents into the PC.

If you want to control the camera from the pc (like a web cam) then you need better drivers

Bring up the device manager and look for errors.

Look for errors in the windows event viewer:  both system and application

Did you recently install a USB driver?  I once installed an iPhone mirror app on windows. I was able to record a facetime call but was unable to transfer photos or music until the driver was uninstalled and the original USB driver was put back in. ---- just guessing.

is there a setting in the camera to select a PC or pictbridge mode?

Yes, the GH5s comes up with 3 different options to enter when USB cable is plugged in.

PC storage is the one I press but the camera just stays on the loading screen without giving access.

Completely forgot you can use an external reader for an SD card - What a simple fix!

I bought one and it instantly solved the problem. I can access camera files very easily now.

Thank you very much!
