Hi Folks, With the new release of VMware vSphere 7.0, I am unable to install the ESXi on the 2 HP ProLiant DL360 G7 that I have in my homelab. Unfortunately, the support for the CPU family that are installed on my servers (24 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5660 @ 2.80GHz (2 Sockets)) have been dropped for the last few VMware versions. Even though, I was able to install ESXi 6.7 on these both, I am not sure if I can install the 7.0. Does anyone know if I will be able to install it? Has anyone tried this? Can I upgrade the CPU perhaps for these servers? Is it even possible? Is it worth it? I appreciate your input in this regard.

Hi:
HP split into two companies a few years ago.
HP supports PC's, printers, tablets and calculators.
HP Enterprise (HPE) supports servers, switches, routers and tape drives.
