I use this computer to image drives with Ghost. I began to have issues with the computer booting to the drive I needed to image not the USB drive I have the boot system for Ghost to inialtilize. I did go into the setup and change the boot device sequence and now the computer will not boot or allow me access to the setup. All that happens on startup, is that the drives spin and fan noises. There is no video or no response from any keying process. I now have had this happen on 2 of the lab Z210 computers. Thank you for any help suggestions.

z210s (no processor stated) sff or mini tower? 6 years old max.
I am not sure on all your syptoms... (ill go , black screens of deathh(sic)
forget the past lets look forward.
so when you turn it on the screen no longer shows text ever, (fans spin, sure) text prompts seen for 6 long years.
it must, or you lost power, (PSU) , in most cases or the SIMPLE fact the COIN CELL DIED> as many do about now, 2.9v min. new 3.3v.
the Bios keys must work now, F10. must. if not that means power failed, in one form or another, PSU/coin)
or worse, there is always worse, lets skip worse for now.
ever try 2 monitors to see if the monitor is funky? it does take a good monitor to get video. im sure you did that.
but others read this stuff... so I pop this in for continuity.
got beep codes or BIOS POST BLINK CODES?
remove the power cord
then push power button for 5 to 10 seconds.
this discharges all charged caps inside to near 0 volts.
(unlatching things)
warining if you pull the coin cell , my HPE puter, goes to NIC boots, (defaults)
strip the loads off the MOBO. (in your mind think "hummm what is shorted here"
remove all critcial things, not needed? first. even all USB, all HDD and DVD drives, see those Mobo cables?
try get them all off. but power psu. and power button, cable,
now power on and get bios working first, BIOS is always first, it is always ready and is RESIDENT ROM.
try the power reset above line one
try new coin cell (hp pc the bios will go nuts with this bad cell, as do most MOBO)
try different PSU
try removing all loads on MOBO
try new video card, even a $5 used, express card works here, for bios tests, no PROBLEMs. x16 slot for that.
bad RAM, try 1 stick at a time,
if that fails focus on BIOS, and VIDEO like a laser beam.
try different Video card, if one is there. (this pc can have 2 at once, the mobo DVI and the X16 slot card)
btw, the Z series and (zeon) and Xw series, are HPE enterprise systems not home toys, as i call them.
and work very differnt in BIOS big time (enterprise BIOS)!@!!
one is that they boot to NIC first XPE and that needs to be turned OFF first, (it also defaults to ethernetchip boot up)
it resets to thin-net boots.
so if that happens, (reset bios or coin cell dead) the PC will never boot to hdd at all, unless F9 is pressed. (maybe)
ahhh yours unlike my beloved Xw4600 (they are brothers)
has on board graphics chip, per HP spec, page on your product.
data ------------------------------------------------------------------
- Integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 (on Intel Core i3/Core i5/Core i7 processors). Integrated Intel HD Graphics P3000 (on Intel Xeon E3-12x5 processors).
- Unified Memory Architecture (UMA)- A region of system memory is reserved and dedicated to the graphics display. DirectX 10.0 compliant; (OpenGL 3.0 on Intel HD Graphics P3000); 1 VGA & 1 DP graphics ports integrated in motherboard.
- Integrated graphics can support dual display across DP & DVI-I outputs.
end -data---------------------------------------------------------------
your mobo looks like my Xw4600 but has 1 DVI jack.
so put in any video card x16slot and BIOS then auto switches to it and see if that works.
if video still dead, new ram chips. next. (run it with one stick in the correct slot, dont guess, the service manual tell you this, on mine its even on a sticker on the inside of of the lid, bank 0 slot 0.
The BIOS is very friendly to Video cards added, or changed, in X16 slot, ive tested this, using super old and very new cards and all work , at least at the BIOS level.
a key fact in fixing/testing any desktop made. or mobo. (what the OS likes is a whole other ball game)
not only this but I have a very old PCI video card from year 1998. SIS 6326 GPU , cost me $1
its a PCI card (legacy) and not express.
my mobo has 7 slots like yours.
the bottom slot is PCI
guess what, the card works in bios. i boot the card works and F10 works and the BIOS info pages all work.
this is what I call a MINImuim system. test.
but sure is hopeless in W10 as the maker is long dead. (well XGI and zero suport)
there are more dead chip makers that live.
this page here I love, as it shows, what is futile. today'! clear as day...
