Hi @Gerry109,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Officejet 4500 All-In-One Printer is automatically printing a message like "GET /DevMgmt/ProductStatusDyn.xml HTTP/1.1," it's possible that the printer is experiencing a network or configuration issue. This message appears to be an HTTP request for a specific file, which is not something a printer should typically be doing on its own.

Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Check the Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network.
  • Verify that the network cable (if using a wired connection) or the Wi-Fi connection (if using wireless) is working correctly.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help refresh the printer's network settings.

Factory Reset (if necessary):

  • If the issue persists, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer to clear any network or configuration problems. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Visit the HP website and look for the latest firmware for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve issues.

Check for Unauthorized Access:

  • It's possible that someone or something is sending these requests to your printer. Make sure your network is secure, and no unauthorized devices have access to your printer.

Disable Web Services:

  • On some HP printers, there is an option to enable or disable web services. You can try disabling this feature to see if it stops the unexpected print requests.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
