Hi @IQ3

The "USBPRINT.INF Unable to connect printer through USB (Code 10)" error on Windows 10 indicates a problem with the USB driver or the connection between the printer and your computer. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with your HP LaserJet P2014 printer:

1. Basic Troubleshooting

1.1. Check Physical Connections

  • Re-seat USB Cable: Disconnect the USB cable from both the printer and the computer, then reconnect it securely.
  • Try Different USB Port: Plug the USB cable into a different USB port on your computer to rule out port issues.
  • Test with Another Cable: If possible, try using a different USB cable to see if the cable might be faulty.

1.2. Restart Devices

  • Restart Computer: Restart your computer to clear any temporary issues.
  • Power Cycle Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.

2. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

2.1. Uninstall Old Drivers

Open Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.

Locate Printer Device:

  • Expand the Printers section and find your HP LaserJet P2014.
  • Right-click on it and select Uninstall device.

Remove Printer Software:

  • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Find any HP printer software and uninstall it.

2.2. Download and Install Latest Drivers

Visit HP Support Website:

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for your HP LaserJet P2014.

Download Drivers:

  • Download the latest drivers for Windows 10 64-bit.

Install Drivers:

3. Check USB Driver in Device Manager

3.1. Update USB Drivers

  • Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.

Update Drivers:

  • Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section.
  • Right-click on each USB controller and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

3.2. Reinstall USB Controllers

Open Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.

Uninstall USB Controllers:

  • Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section.
  • Right-click on each USB controller and select Uninstall device.

Restart Computer:

4. Check for Windows Updates

Open Settings:

  • Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

5. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
