Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am trying to upgrade from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10. The upgrade stops and tells me I need to uninstall HP Drive Encryption before I can proceed. I have been unable to remove this program using the traditional uninstaller and Revo Uninstaller. The program will disappear from the program list after the uninstall process, but the Windows 10 upgrade still get hung up, telling me I need to uninstall it.

Help!!

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Are you restarting your PC after uninstalling the HP software?

Then check Programs and Features to verify it is gone.

Run the Windows 10 update within Windows 7 to start this process.

I don't know why you cannot remove this HP software. Revo Uninstaller is usually very good at this.

Have you encrypted the drive using the HP software? You may have to undo this to proceed.

Regards
