It might be helpful to investigate what Windows 7 is installed. If prior to SP1, download that directly. Also the more convenience roll up might help

Thanks for the exact info I was searcing for. Sorry for my horrible spelling!!!! Imanaged to do a clean install with a new SSD and after removing McCafee. FUNNY I searched Microsoft and internet looking for upgrade questions. Next is my newer pc with windows 10. A new SSD install. Will I lose the OS replacing my HHD?

It is not clear what you mean by this " Will I lose the OS replacing my HHD?" If that is part of this "Next is my newer pc with windows 10. A new SSD install. " If Windows 10 is ecisting on the hard drive and you plan on then duing a SSD install, clone the hard drive to the SSD and all will be well.
