Prodesk 400 G4 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tryed to make a new start with my Prodesk 400 G4 and I downloaded the Recovery Software CD from the specific HP support page.

Everything went right untill windows update found some updates and intalled them.

First I get an installation error for an "HP driver update - keyboard" error n. 0x8024ce18 that doesn't worried me but when it finished the installation of the windows update packet KB4100347 it asked for reboot and in the end: blu screen whith the code "WDF VIOLATION". (What does it mean? )

Then the recovery started and I asked for a new  reset of the disk but even so after a long recovery , I got the same blu screen.

I tryed to install windows again from the USB with the Recovery Software CD  downloaded before,  and I succeeded but when windows started with the "windows updates" the same problem happened again.

How can I solve the problem? May the windows 10 image be the problem? Have I to download a windows 10 image from somewhere else?

Thanks for any help

I had very similar issue with a ProOne 400 I followed the instructions in this guide to get it booting again.

While it was not the same update I was having issues with renaming HpqKbFiltr.sys file did get the machine to boot normally again

Thank you friend, I lost a lot of time trying to fix it by myself and without your help it could be worse.

Quite shocking that neither microsoft nor hp knowing the problem let windows update to intall the defective packet making a lot of PCs crash.

Good work Microsoft!

Thans again Phil
