Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello trying to figure out how to get a product key. My old hard drive crashed and I purchased a new one. I don't have the disc from when I originally bought it nor the product key number but I did install a new hard drive.

Hi:

Two things to note:

1:  Your PC's Windows 10 product key is encrypted in your PC's BIOS.

You don't need the key to reinstall W10.

2. If you want the original HP factory image on the new drive you can use the Cloud recovery tool.

The HP cloud recovery tool will create a bootable recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility...You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

You can download the cloud recovery tool from the Microsoft Store:

Since you will have to use the recovery tool on another PC, you will need to enter your PC's full product number in the tool's search window, which is Z5N59AA#ABA
