Microsoft Windows 11

I’m hoping to get some insight into an issue my son and I have been dealing with on our HP all‑in‑one desktop. The computer runs perfectly fine for everyday tasks like browsing, schoolwork, and streaming. But whenever he plays games such as Roblox or The Sims 4, the entire system will suddenly shut off and then turn back on like nothing happened.

There’s no error message, no warning, and no slow performance beforehand, it just powers off instantly and restarts. Outside of gaming, it behaves completely normal.

I’m trying to figure out what could be causing this. I’ve seen people mention things like overheating, power supply issues, or the system not being strong enough for certain games, but I’m not sure where to start or what’s most likely for an all‑in‑one setup.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know what might be going on? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

One thing to look at is the "Event Log".  Windows records things, like a forced shutdown, in an event log.

Here is a guide on how to find and view the event log

That be be the first step to see what is happening.  It does seem rather odd that it would shutdown immediately when clicking to start the game.

One thing to note - All-in-ones are not really very good at games.  There are really meant for tasks, like you noted, that this PC does well. "The computer runs perfectly fine for everyday tasks like browsing, schoolwork, and streaming."
