I was able to solve this problem by purchasing a Sabrent USB-C Hard Drive Docking station on Amazon. This docking station allowed me to create an external hard drive with my old HDD drive and connect it to my new HP Omen PC via a C port. Then I used Windows Explorer to locate and copy the files from this external drive. This approach worked great and was easy to do. The docking station I purchased was only about $32 plus tax and shipping.

@Royes, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Since your HP Omen 880 died and you’re trying to recover images and documents from its HDD onto your new Omen 35L, the main issue seems to be the connector mismatch. The Omen 880 likely had a standard SATA HDD.
Check if the HDD from the Omen 880 is a standard 3.5-inch SATA drive. If so, you’ll need both SATA data and SATA power to connect it. If your Omen 35L lacks SATA power cables, you can use a SATA power splitter to share power from an existing drive. If your Omen 35L lacks SATA data ports, you might need a SATA-to-USB adapter or external HDD enclosure to connect the old drive.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
