During HP Recovery Manager Reinstall, Intel WLAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 10 is taking hours.  Is this okay? Requested HP Recovery Manager Reinstall all Drivers (10) and applications (7) after Windows 10 reset.

Hi @DrEFaye

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The installation process of drivers and applications using HP Recovery Manager can vary in duration depending on several factors such as system specifications, the number of drivers and applications to be reinstalled, and the overall system performance. While it is not typical for a single driver installation to take hours, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot or ensure everything is proceeding correctly:

Ensure the System is Not Hung: Check if any progress indicators are moving or any changes on the screen that suggest the installation is still proceeding.

Check for System Resource Usage: If possible, open Task Manager (by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to see if there is any CPU, disk, or network activity related to the installation process. This can indicate whether the process is ongoing or if it might be stuck.

Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and strong, as downloading any additional installation files required over the network could take time.

Restart the Process: If you determine that the installation is indeed stuck, you may need to restart the system and try the reinstallation process again. You can start by reinstalling the most critical drivers first, such as network drivers, to ensure basic system functionality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
