I am about to pass on my PC but it has a D:/recovery partion can I simply delete the contents of 😧 recovery Partion

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

 

There is no need to do that, as that partition contains no personal information; instead, it is used soley to restore the PC to the original factory state -- which has no user information whatsoever.

 

Personally, I would leave it alone.
