Purchase paperwork and computer show I bought a Windows 7 Professional desktop computer but recovery disks are for Windows 8 computer. How can I resolve difference? My other computers are all Windows 7 so I do not want Windows 8 on the computer.

Hi:
You'll have to contact HP technical support to resolve that issue.
In the USA/Canada, call HP at 1-800-334-5144, and ask them to send you a set of W7 Pro recovery disks.
Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer services rep.
Your PC probably came with W7 Pro downgraded from W8 Pro from the factory, which is why you have the W8 recovery media.
If there is no W7 Pro product key sticker on the PC, then that is what happened.
