Recovery manager media creation

All my previous HP desktops allowed you to create a flash drive in case you had to factory reset your computer.  I can't seem to find it on this new computer, and on the HP site you can order it for $59 which in the past I could create one for free.  Is that not available any more on this computer I just bought?

@dazefez

It is still there, but the steps might seem different.

Also built-in your computer (step-by-step, same same laptop/desktop)

This built-in has variations to keep your files and just re-install the OS.

Remember WIN 10 has the product key embedded into the BIOS NRAM.  You can always use this to re-install.

Hi, @dazefez

I checked the HP cloud recovery tool website and according to that your model is supported.

Enter the product number of 7bb48av

http://support.hp.cloud-recovery.s3-website-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/

The cloud recovery tool allows you to create a bootable USB recovery drive that would be the same as buying the $59 recovery drive from HP.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

You may try Windows built-in tool or another free tool for HP recovery media creation in Windows 10.
