EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I want to restore the OS that came with the machine.  The OEM Windows in Microsoft page does not verify with the key on the device.  Where can I download the Windows 7 copy?

Here is the support page for the EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF

You might notice the numerous and various versions of Windows it could have had, with any of those installed.  Check the Windows 7  sticker and report back with what is says and the version it displays. Do not post the product key, just what it says about which Windows 7.    BTW: if the Windows product key states a particular version, then that has to be what is loaded before it will activate.  While MS might say it is giving an OEM version, that key will work on a retail copy also, as long as it matches the version.

And before anyone tells that is not true, I can say I have done it and it always works.

BTW: if the Recovery Partition is still on the hard drive, it will return the PC to factory OS install and it will be activated.
