I have tried switching on my pc today and received a message saying repairing disk errors, this may take over an hour. I have followed instruction and ran a quick test. Hard drive short DST check failed. 
error: 9qf3p1-86ca4f-9xh36j-60xr03

I am now at a loss as I am out of warranty. Do you know how I can resolve this?

Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure

 

Which means a replacement Hard Drive and/or Operating System.

As your PC is circa 2016........

From 2016 onwards there is a possible recovery option via the cloud...

This may require another PC. Find and Download your .iso from…

Expand/Extract/Burn the iso Image onto a DVD/USB as needed.
Microsoft’s Creator Tool will make the required DVD or USB.
