Hp Envy Phoenix Desktop 860-180st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two HP computers:  Hp Envy Phoenix Desktop 860-180st and a HP Pavilion 15-n206nr Notebook. Both key boards have a problem with repeating keys. I enter a letter i.e. "f" and it may repeat several times.

My Desk top has a wireles keyboard (Kg-1450) and the Notebook has a built in key board.  Any suggestion other than don't buy HP products. I have seen this same issue posted by several users on this forum.

Open to any suggestions

I had a Dell Desktop and laptop for almost 10 years until they just ran out of gas.

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

I see that your HP Keyboard inputs multiple characters while typing.

Do not worry I will be glad to help in filling up the gas!

If two or more characters appear when pressing a key, use the following steps to adjust the key repeat delay:

  1. From Windows, search for open Keyboard.

  2. On the Keyboard Properties screen, drag the Repeat delay slider to Long, and then click OK to save changes.

Figure : Changing the Character Repeat delay setting
