Try these steps:
Perform a System Recovery Using a USB Drive
Prepare for Recovery
- Ensure you have backed up your files.
- Make sure the computer is connected to an active internet connection.
- Use an AC power connection to avoid recovery failure.
- Have a blank USB flash drive with a minimum of 32 GB.
- Confirm that your computer has a minimum of 20 GB free disk space on the Windows partition.
- Do not use an external hard drive.
Download and Install the HP Cloud Recovery Tool
- Download the HP Cloud Recovery Tool from the Microsoft Store and install it on a 64-bit version of Windows.
Create a Recovery Image
- Insert a blank USB flash drive into the computer.
- Search for "Cloud Recovery," right-click "HP Cloud Recovery Tool," and select "Run as administrator."
- Follow the on-screen prompts to create a recovery image.
Perform a System Recovery
- Turn on the computer and insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.
- Turn off the computer by pressing and holding the power button.
- Disconnect all peripheral devices except for the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cord.
- Use booting options to boot from the USB drive.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the recovery.
Use Windows Recovery Environment
- Resetting Windows 10 When Your HP Computer Does Not Boot
- Restart your computer and immediately press the f11 key repeatedly.
- On the HP Sure Recover screen, select Restore from local drive.
- On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.
- On the Troubleshoot screen, select Reset this PC.
- Select Remove Everything.
- Select Local Reinstall.
- Choose if you want to save any Windows provisioning packages for workspace usage.
- Select Just Remove Files.
- On the Reset screen, select Reset to confirm the operating system reset. The computer will restart automatically when the process is complete.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the error message and proceed with the installation or setup of Windows on your HP Pavilion 24 AIO.
