After almost 2 hours of resetting, a "user profile failed and the user profile can't be loaded" message came up.

My disk was obviously not cleaned because my name came up on the sign in screen.

Now what do I do to clean the disk using the Recovery? Would it be worth it to start again or is there another way to wipe the disk clean of all of my data? I want to give away this computer.

(Note: I always have problems when trying to clean my disk through resetting.)

(Note: Posted this problem elsewhere, but I don't know if I will get an answer from that post, so I am desperate and reposted it here.)

This is getting more confusing the more I research wiping data on the computer. Since I have one hard drive on my computer, of course I want to erase this drive along with anything else that has data on it. I don't want anyone to bring up sensitive information.

However, I notice that even on this forum, there is wrong information. I was told many years ago that the Diskpart command can completely clean my computer. However, it doesn't clean the C: drive, which is where I boot from. This I didn't know, and I used this to  allegedly "erase" a disk once.

Can someone please give information that will allow me to securely wipe ALL the data from my computer, wherever it is? I really don't want to have to use a disk wipe tool to do so.
