  • I have an HP Desktop M01-F2802no with an Intel Core i5-12400 (12th gen) and Intel 600-series (H670) chipset, and I am currently using an NVIDIA RTX A2000 GPU. I would like to confirm whether Resizable BAR and “Above 4G Decoding” are supported or enabled in the BIOS for this model. I understand the RTX A2000 does not require Resizable BAR, but I would like official confirmation from HP on whether this feature is supported, enabled by default, or permanently disabled/hidden in the BIOS for this system. I got an Arc B580 12gb waiting for this desktop.

Greetings @Zekeriye

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Opinions or troubleshooting suggestions in this response are provided independently. I am not employed by: HP, Inc. or the HP Forum.

I don't have access to your PC's specific BIOS options.

Only a Forum member having a M01 series PC can verify if Resizable Bar is a BIOS option.

Have you checked all BIOS settings for Rebar?

HP does Resizable Bar BIOS options on newer Omen Gaming PCs.

Hi.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I’ve attached a picture of my BIOS, but I can’t find the Resizable BAR option. Could you help me check if it’s available on my M01 PC?

Thanks again for your help!

My pleasure.

Thanks for the BIOS images.

I don't see ReBar in the M01 BIOS Menu images you have provided.

You could check the additional BIOS options (Device, USB, and Slot) in the Security Menu.

I don't think you will find ReBar in any of those Security sub Menus.

ReBar is usually found, on retail MBs (Asus, Gigabyte, or MSI), in a PCIe sub menu.

What can I do then, sir? I feel like I’ve spent a lot of money hoping HP would have a solution for this. It’s disappointing that desktops with all the required specs run into this issue because of a BIOS setting. I’d really appreciate any advice or next steps you could suggest.

I'm very sorry. There is nothing I can do to fix the ReBar/Above 4G decoding problem.

HP decided to not provide this BIOS option.

You could use your PC's: serial number or product number at this HP Site to check for a BIOS update.

But there is no guarantee HP would add ReBar support in the latest BIOS update.
