HP All-in-One Desktop PC 24-cr0000a
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

Because my very old PC would not support Win11 i decided to buy a new All in one HP instead of upgrading my old PC.

The PC I bought was a HP all in one with  AMD Ryzen 3 7320U with Radeon Graphics  and 8GB RAM.

Unfortunaley I am not happy with the performance especially when coming out of Sleep mode where it will take over a minute before you can use the PC. The mouse has severe lag and jittery in movement or the pointer will not move and have the little blue circle on the pointer showing it is busy.

With my limited PC knowledge I have tried bringing up the Task Manager to see if I can see anything that is slowing down the CPU but by the time that comes up the PC is responding fine.

I have tried a few other fixes fromn research on the internet without much success.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am now wishing Ihad upgraded my old HP PC.

Greetings @CGP08

Welcome to the HP Forum.

The AMD Ryzen 3 7320U seems to be a decent processor. And your PC has a fast NVME SSD.

Eight GBs of RAM is on the down low. 16 GBs of RAM is the recommended sweet spot for Web surfing and other typical PC tasks.

You could try disabling hibernation to see if this helps.

Run the following command as an Administrator to disable hibernation using the Command Prompt or PowerShell:

powercfg -h off

Run this command to reenable hibernation if disabling hibernation does not help:

powercfg.exe /hibernate on

Let the Forum know if disabling hibernation helps.

You could try to exchange this PC for a better one if the sales return period is active.

Regards

Hi Bill_To,

Thank you for the reply.

I willl try the disabling Hibernation and see how that goes, I am happy with the response from power up its just the response coming out of sleep mode.

I thought about increasing RAM but if I opened up the PC that would void the warranty.

I will also look into the excahnge option.
