Solved!

Restorations process incomplete

HP Recommended
Hp pavilion power 580-023w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This all started when my account was corrupted and was told to make a new one I tried to delete the bad account and already made a copy but it didn’t work it just remade the safe account and I was back to square 1 so I decided to restore my computer to an old date but that was a failure as well and finally I decided to restore it back to manufacture settings so I thought brand new but the it restored for 4hrs and failed the error message popped up and said restoration incomplete and in the save log it said THE SYSTEM CANNOT FIND THE DRIVE SPECIFIED (it repeated it for 6x) so now I’m here can anyone help cause i restart it and it takes me back to the same error I can’t back out of the restoration process because it was almost finished so never ending cycle?

Hi:

If you made the recovery media using the cloud recovery tool, and got that error, then you did all you could.

There is a problem with the recovery media that no one here would be able to help you with.

Your only other option would be to clean install W10 by making bootable W10 installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

Hi:

Your PC should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

Since your PC is not working, use another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive, to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

You can check if your PC is supported by the cloud recovery tool at the link  below...

Hi, Mr. Tikkanen,

Can you please take a look at my post or add me? I have a similar problem, in fact, it prevents me from signing in the system. As soon as my PC booted, it will take me to a page that is only have two options:

advanced troubleshooting

Turn off your PC

I ran a hard drive test and passed.

I tried everything now you are my last hope.
