Microsoft Windows 11

Hello people, I have a virus on my pc and it won’t let me use my keyboard. The virus inserts the running letter “r” into any time I try to search in any search bar “rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”. I have been able to  reformat the pc twice first I installed system from local second time I installed system from the cloud. The virus inserts the running  letter r this time it would not allow to sign in to Microsoft. I do not have a restore usb .

Hope you can help get the files rid me of this beast.

@Johnny186, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check if Keyboard is Broken

Restart your PC and enter the BIOS (press ESC or F10 right after turning it on).

Wait and see — if “r” keeps typing, your keyboard is broken, not a virus.

Fix the Keyboard

If keyboard is external (USB or wireless):
Unplug it and try another keyboard.
If the problem stops, replace the old keyboard.

If it's built-in and you can’t replace it:
Use a USB keyboard instead.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
