I would like to set my DVD and USB ports as the primary boot devices followed by the MAIN SSD HD.
I Disabled Secure Boot, Enabled Legacy, Set the BIOS BOOT Order as
1.DVD
2. USB
3. SSD HD
I would like to leave it like this permanently and automtically have my PC go through that boot order on start-up.
My PC will still only boot to my Main SSD HD and not my DVD.
I donnot want to have to go to F9 each time to set boot order for each startup.
Is this possible?
If so, what am I not doing to make this hppern?

Really appreciate your trying to help!
Unforntunately for my HP PC Pacillion 510 P010 this won't work. You must first disable the SECURE BOOT function and ENABLE THE LEGACY device function first. The ngo to BIOS and set the BOOT priority. But, for some frustrating reason this does not work for me and I have been trying to get answes as to why not?
Thanks again for your consideration in trying to help.:manvery-happy:

Hi @JMIG,
I recommend you to update the bios and the chipset drivers from the below link and check if it helps.
NOTE: Flash the bios even if you have the latest version.

Hi,
Try disabling Fast Boot in the BIOS.
If the above doesn't work then open up a Command Prompt (admin) and enter: MSINFO32
What is the BIOS mode?
HP Envy 17", i7-8550u,16GB, 512GB NVMe, 4K screen, Windows 11 x64
Custom PC - Z690, i9-12900K, 32GB DDR5 5600, dual 512 GB NVMe, gen4 2 TB m.2 SSD, 4K screen, OC'd to 5 Ghz, NVIDIA 3080 10GB

Disabled FAST BOOT
No impact.
Still did not boot from DVD drive.
Ran MSINFO32
BIOS set at UEFI
Should be LEGACY shouldn't it?
I rechecked my Security settings.
Security Boot is disabled
Legacy is enabled?
Looks like translation issue between Storage settings and BIOS setting?

Hi,
UEFI mode should select the Windows UEFI Boot Manager first.
What CD are you trying to boot from the internal optical drive?
UEFI device discovery typically occurs after a power up, meaning you need to insert the CD and then power cycle your PC.
