I have a word doc saved on hard drive of a very old HP desktop. I am able to open the doc, edit and save it, but want to save it to a flash drive. This pc is not connected to the internet. How do I save it to a flash drive so I can take it to a print service?

Hi Keean83, could you send the file from your old PC serial port, over a cable to another PC serial port, and save it when it's on the other computer to a USB flash drive?   If you only have the one PC I'm unsure what else you could do to save it elsewhere.  I have done similar things in past with a null modem cable, but it would take a little research to name the job on Windows that would transfer the file in this situation.  Maybe that will provide a place to start. Sorry that's all I have for now.

Hi

I assume you can plug the flash drive into the "old" PC?

Then try Save As and change the path the 😧 or E: drive to suit the flash drive.

OR

C:\>XCOPY c:\*.doc D:\ /s

If in doubt please ask.
